May 6th, 16:30 | The Summer O' Doug

In case anyone was wondering what I was on about, I decided at some point mid-January (I think) after reading Microserfs that it had been awhile since I'd read some of the other books by Douglas Coupland. So, this summer ("summer" redefined as "May 1st to August 31st"), I would read all the novels he's written, and I'd read them in order. So that gives us...

    Generation X
    Shampoo Planet
    Life After God
    Microserfs
Polaroids From the Dead (on hiatus)
    Girlfriend in a Coma
    Miss Wyoming
God Hates Japan (can't find this in North America)
    All Families Are Psychotic
    Hey Nostradamus!
Lara's Book: Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider Phenomenon
    (sheer curiosity, this one)

Knowing me, though, one should know it's not possible for me to only be reading one book at a time. Ever. So, I shall also be tracking (new) books that I get through on top of the Coupland ones.

In progress:

The Groundwater Diaries by Tim Bradford
    Diamond Age by Neal Stephenson
Hackers: Heroes of the Computer Revolution by Steven Levy
    Scaramouche by Raphael Sabatini
Life of Pi by Yann Martel

Done:

    Hominids by Robert J. Sawyer
Bridget Jones' Diary by Helen Fielding
Valley of the Dolls by Jacqueline Susann (shut up)
Dying For Chocolate by Diane Mott Davidson
The Last Suppers by Diane Mott Davidson
Eats, Shoots and Leaves by Lynne Truss
The Discovery of Chocolate by James Runcie
Sticks and Scones by Diane Mott Davidson
Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell
Don Quixote by some children's author
Chopping Spree by Diane Mott Davidson
